Final Project: Floyd Mayweather vs Jake Paul

Floyd vs Jake

On April 27th, Paul Logan and Floyd Mayweather decided to announce their extensive discussed boxing match. The fight will take place on June 6th in Miami at the Hard Rock Stadium. I decided to take it to Instagram and Twitter to see what were a few people thinking about the fight and get their honest opinions. When I got on Instagram I knew that The Shaderoom, Showtime Boxing, and Sports Center were the only three news accounts that I trust. I then turned on the notification bell so when anything gets posted about the flight I would get an alert on my phone.

The world has been seeing what Floyd Mayweather can do for the past two decades and how much magic he can create when he’s in that squared ring. His courage and passion for the sport of boxing are so unmatched and that’s what makes him stand out from other pro boxers. However, the fresh moving twenty-six-year-old Logan Paul will be going all out to try to give the Hall of Famer a run for his money. As I was going through Sports Center comments about Logan Paul announcing the fight. I came across an account that belonged to this guy who stated that he was a big fan of the Paul brothers. I dm him and asked if I can do an interview with him pertaining to the fight. It was asked to him if he thinks that Logan Paul has an upper hand because of his size and length? He simply feels like size, age, and length are all going to play a big factor in this match because in his words, “Floyd don’t got it like he use to.” Logan Paul fan made it clear to me that Floyd is too old and Logan Paul is young, fresh, and has more energy.

Lots of people think that this fight necessary for Floyd to do, according to ESPN this isn’t an exhibition fight like how it was with Mayweather vs McGregor. At that time, Connor was the biggest fighter in MMA. ESPN commentator also stated that he feels as though Floyd is going to play around with Logan Paul as if he was a toy. I then talk someone and asked her opinion on if she thought the fight was not necessary on Floyd’s part based on the fact that Logan Paul isn’t an experienced fighter.

She stated that Logan has no reason to compete against Floyd because he isn’t ready enough to jump into a big match like that. The statistics show enough that this “exhibition” match is so imbalanced that it shouldn’t even be allowed to happen. Why does she think Floyd took this fight was another question asked and she stated that she thinks it’s because Floyd sees his potential to be a professional fighter in the future she said. Floyd stated that he is strictly doing it for the money. Floyd openly admits that his fear isn’t fighting the biggest fighters in boxing but it’s that he doesn’t want to end up with an illness like Legendary boxer Muhammad Ali had. When he was offered one hundred million dollars for this exhibition match with Logan Paul, “the money was too good to turn down” Floyd said.

When I moved over to Twitter, the news about Logan and Floyd was trending with millions of people tweeting about it every minute. When it came to Twitter it seemed like everyone has their own mixed reviews about the fight. Fifty percent of Twitter think Floyd is going to win and the other fifty percent think that Logan is going to win. that Logan is. I was twitter back and forth with a Twitter user about the fight and she perfectly states how fights are decent fights and it is going to be hard to pick who would win. “Floyd had more of the technique and experience while Logan had more of the height and reach,’ she said. Things also heated up between Logan Paul’s younger brother Jake Paul and Floyd Mayweather as words were exchanged. At the press conference, held at Rock Hard Stadium in Miami Florida, Jake Paul went up to Floyd started an argument. Jake then took Floyd’s hate and things turned physical and a fight broke out between Floyd’s entourage and Jake Paul. Hopefully, after June 6th people answers will be answered on who is going to win this twelve round exhibition match.

Anaheim Ducks comeback with an AMAZING comeback!!!

All my life, I’ve never really got into Hockey, because it was never my thing. Over the past few years, I decided to get into it because what really interests me is the fact that these athletes can skate back and forth time after time. Tonight’s game was between the Anaheim Ducks who had a record of (9 – 16 – 6) and the Arizona Coyotes with (12 – 13- 5). The Coyotes knew they had something to prove going into this game

The game started off with the Coyotes bring it to the Ducks as they started the game off with a 1 – 0 lead that eventually turned into a 2 – 0 lead that had the Ducks in a real sticky place. They were playing pretty decent but just were not able to score. When looking at some of the player’s faces on the Ducks, you can tell they were getting frustrated and something had to change and fast. They were determined not to lose this game because it was something that they wanted, so they knew they had to fight for this game as a team.

In the second end, The Coyotes own no. 67 Lawson Crouse was going to score to try to make the game score 3 – 0 but The Ducks no. 7 Ben Hutton easily put a stop to it and was not having it. Hutton put his blood, sweat, and tears into blocking the Coyotes puck from going into the goal.

The Anaheim Ducks finally scored and their score came from their rookie player Trevor Zegras, which so happened to be his first Pro NHL goal. So the Ducks were trying to come back as the score went to 2 – 1. The Duck gets the puck back and there again was another score, which then ties the game up 2 – 2. The Coyotes were starting to struggle as the Ducks switches up their game plan and had their opponents confused. The Duck then started playing the game of Hockey as they were going at the Coyotes with everything they have and nothing was stopping them from trying their best to win tonight’s game. As the game was tied, overtime was approaching and both teams were about to give it there all like their lives depended on it. Both teams came out swinging and for everything they threw they wanted it to count, but everything that the Coyotes threw wasn’t enough to stop the Ducks. The Ducks Kevin Shattenkirk set up the Coyotes defense and pasted to his teammate Adam Henrique as he went in for the goal and won in overtime.

Farewell Post

During this whole blogging experience, I had a good time but I have to take a break from this blog because I am done with tattooing for a little while. I’m not saying bye but I am saying see you later down in the future. During this blog, I learned that I can be more open with people about how tattooing is an evening helping them with the process of healing. So I took it upon myself to talk and interview multiple different artists so my viewers would be able to see what they are getting themselves into. Also for them to have any question’s they ever had to be answered from an actual tattoo artist mouth.

Flyer Den: 2 Greatest Edition

I had the chance to already interview one tattoo artist Reese Roberts from the Flyer Den tattoo studio. The studio is located in Morrisville PA. Eboni Tucci, 27, is the main tattoo artist there is she also owns the shop. I had a chance to interview and talk with her.

I then met another new artist that moved into the shop by the name of Carrie Leigh. Carrie has never worked in a shop before, she said she got her garage build into a home studio. So people would go to her house to get tatted. Tucci said she loved Carrie’s work and thought she would be a good addition to the Flyer Den family. Carrie agreed to work with them and have been working there a good strong 4 months.

I sat and talked with Tucci as she did three tattoos. Her first client came and got the bottom of a skull on his hand which covered his entire hand. The second client that came in was my cousin who was getting the Statue of Liberty with the hands over its face. Her last client wanted this big tattoo piece on her back that had caterpillars blooming into butterflies. The pictures I inserted below are some pics of Tucci’s station, her tattoo gun, and some of her tattoos from that day.

As Tucci was in the middle of her tattoo, I thought I’d go over to Carrie to see how she and her tattoo was going. Carrie was working drawing a tattoo out from scratch which was a blackout rose that someone wanted on their inner bicep.  She draws the tattoo out on the person’s arm with a market as she makes all the final touches then she starts using the tattoo needle.

I asked Carrie what kind of tattooing do she like doing and where is her favorite spot. “I like doing all kinds of tattoos because that means for me that I can dip my hand in all kinds of work,” “but my favorite kind of tattoos has to be blackouts I just love the imagery of it and how an all blackout tattoo look,” Carrie stated. Carrie had a client coming in so she can get her full sleeve done in a blackout session. Carrie also loved doing cover-ups, she feels like cover-ups are her specialty. She had someone that was coming for a cover-up and she said it was going to be big because her client told her that she’s allowed to freestyle anything on his chest that had something to do with an eagle. When the man came, she was ready to get started. The tattoo took about three hours to complete because she had to go over it some time to make sure that lines were covered and his previous link could not be seen. Below I inserted some pictures of Carrie, her cover-up, and the other tattoo she did on that day.

As I go to wrap up my day at Flyer Den tattoo studio, it was asked to everyone do they enjoy doing what they doing. Everyone at Flyer Den loves tattoo because they love showing their talent to people and letting people go out and show the world. So when people say where you get tatted from, you say Flyer Den!!!!

A Day with Yashanay Stevens

Yashanay Stevens, Route 1 Dinner (Photo/ Zaire Smith)

For the past week, I’ve been spending time with Yashanay Stevens and talking about her love and passion for tattoos. Yashanay Stevens is a girl who’s been drawing, painting, and creating things by hand all her life. Yashanay is a person who knows a lot when it comes down to tattooing and other things, she has been doing research and talking to a lot of specific artists just to know how to do certain things when it comes down to tattooing. It was asked to Yashanay what she had to say about tattooing that was so important. She just wants people to know that everyone has a story to tell, and if you don’t like telling you life then you should use your voice through the art of tattooing. She has a wonder eye when it comes to drawing and painting, now she’s in the process of transitioning to do tattoos.

Q&A with Tattoo Artist Reese Roberts

Reese Roberts. Doing a nice angel piece on someone’s forearm. Photo By Me

Reese Roberts is a 25 year 0ld man who had a passion for drawing since he was a young boy. His passion for drawing ended up turning into an excitement for painting. When he was a Junior at Ewing High School located in Ewing, New Jersey, his teacher told him that his skills for drawing and painting was outstanding and that he should take up tattooing because he would be good at it. His teachers words triggered something in his head, so he went out and brought his first tattoo gun and some ink.

Read on to hear about how Reese’s love and passion for art turned him into one of the biggest artists around Trenton New Jersey. Get a deeper look into how he creates his work of art and leaves people satisfied.

Reese Roberts was one of the youngest apprentices to every start at Flyer Den’s Tattoo Shop located in Morrisville Pennsylvania. He started at the tattoo shop just a year after he got his first tattoo gun. He was an apprentice for only 3 months then tattoo shop owner Tucci promoted him to become an artist right away. “I knew he didn’t need to be an apprentice anymore so he became one of our top tattoo artists” Tucci said.

What was your most heart felt tattoo you’ve done?

I knew getting into this industry that it would be some challenges or some tattoos I would have to do that I could relate to in my personal life. The most heartfelt tattoo I’ve ever had to do was for this man who came in 5 months after the tragic loss of his wife and two daughters when they were run off the road. It touched me because I knew how it felt to lose a love one to being runoff the road and I just felt his pain.

What was your longest piece you’ve ever did and how long did it take?

The longest piece I’ve ever did was this Jesus piece on someone back with a long Bible scripture. It took about five hours. When the man first came in I asked him what he wanted and someone had already drew it out for him. So he showed me a nice wood cross that had like old bible paper at the bottom of it that had a Scripture on it. He wanted John chapter three verse sixteen on the paper. I asked him what was the meaning behind the tattoo and he said he loved that scripture and that specific scripture is what kept him going after his brutal car accident.

What’s your favorite style of tattooing?

My favorite style of tattooing is hand drawing. I like hand drawing because I like whenI can draw on the and ask them is this the way they want or like it. if they don’t like a specific part then I can wipe’s it off and redraw it. I like being able to satisfy my customers with my hand drawing skills. Yes my hands do get tired from drawing the word out then going back over it with the needle and gun. Yes it would be easier for me to use a stencil but I feel like it’s not real or authentic if you do it that way. That’s why I prefer hand drawing everything out then applying it with my ink and tattoo gun/needle.

Photos taken by Reese. Sent to me from him

What made you start tattooing?

I started tattooing because I love drawing and creating art but I also like making money because tattooing is very fast and all about the quantity. So the bigger the tattoo the high the prince. Like one time I had someone pay me $800 cash just to finish both of the sleeves and at the end of both of them, they loved every bit of it.

Getting a Tattoo Done and The Healing Process

When you thinking about getting a tattoo, there’s a lot to think about. Like what you really want, what your tattoo actually means, and where you’d like to get it at. Always remember a tattoo is a permanent thing. You also have to know what you’re doing when it comes to the healing process because if you don’t take care of it, it will get infected and not look right.

After you get a tattoo finished, no matter where it’s at on your body, you need to take care of it. A lot of things can go wrong if you don’t take care of a finished tattoo. Think about it as if you went to the doctor and had to get a shot. If the doctor doesn’t take care of the open wound, what will happen? it will get infected. The same thing goes with a tattoo, it’s like an open wound that needs to be taken care of right away. What’s better a well-taken care tattoo or an infected swollen one?

Anytime a tattoo artist is done with your tattoo, they will use a water solution that is called Tincture Green Soap. After they clean it off the will put a nice thin layer of petroleum jelly on it then wrap it in plastic wrap so it. Some tattoo artists will tell you to leave the plastic wrap on for two to twenty-four hours so it’s not at risk for infection. Once the hours have pasted, you will need to remove the bandages, you will still see some red and puffiness! that’s normal. Take some antibacterial soap to get your hand soapy, then with your hand, you will genitally rub the soap onto the tattoo. Once you applied the soap you will need to take some warm water and slightly rub the water down on the tattoo. NEVER let the water run directly onto the tattoo. After that take a dry paper towel and gently pat the tattoo until dry. After that process is complete that the healing process is left in your hands.
